Ford Edge Performance Features and Engine Styles

The Ford Edge has been called a pleasure to drive. Critics and drivers alike have said that Ford has hit it out of the park with this midsize SUV. The US News & World Report ranked the Ford Edge in the top for midsized SUVs. The turbocharged Ecoboost 2.0-liter four-cylinder is standard now with the Edge. However, you can always upgrade to the V6, which puts out 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.

Both engines can produce enough horsepower for everyday commutes in towns or on highways. The engine gets up to 29 mpg on the highway. The acceleration is decent on the highway for merging and passing in traffic. On the road, drivers say that the Edge handles well, using its new suspension system and absorption to keep the SUV riding comfortably.
